Matt's writing reflects his core beliefs.

He believes that lessons from the past provide insights into the present. He also believes that our thoughts create our reality and that persistent positive thoughts create a positive future.

With 25 years spent in the military, including 4 years in the Navy and 21 years in the Marine Corps, serving his country has been one of the most fulfilling things in his life.

He had a wide variety of assignments in the Intelligence field, has trained in military parachuting, scuba diving, lock picking, survival behind enemy lines, and has been deployed around the world, including to war zones such as Somalia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Being deeply interested in history and psychology all his life, writing military historical fiction with the introduction of new perspectives about how we shape our own reality,  is a natural step for Matt.

Matt’s debut novel, The Gryphons’ Shadow, takes his readers on adventures that are energetically-paced, historically accurate, and filled with action. This gripping novel was inspired from intensive research into the history of Marine Corps Intelligence and true life accounts of Marines assigned to the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War 2.
